a P4 3.0GHZ, and 3.2 GHZ? because I'm buying a new laptop, and I want to know if it is worth the extra $100 bucks?

also what is the difference between a 530 3.0GHZ, and a 630 GHZ 3.0GHZ

nope, there is not alot of difference, unless you want to do alot of heavy work.

Not really. It would be hardly note worthy. Should just come of a few points more, and is not worth the extra money. You should be just fine with 3.0 Ghz.

Thanks a lot guys, but what about the difference between 530 3.0GHZ, and a 630 GHZ 3.0GHZ

what do those number mean (530, 630)

i think the 6** chips are 64bit? im not sure. i know the 8**chips are dual core.......

Yeah, the 6** chips are EMT64 chips, however the older 5** are faster clock for clock in most enviroments

The difference in 200MHz, especially on the Netburst architecture, is incredibly insignificant, and a 3GHz core can easily be overclocked beyond 3.2GHz

It means you need a lappy with a Turion in it.
Huh? The Turion is the AMD counterpart to the Pentium M, it's a low power usage processor
