what does this mean?

Ok i was flashing my bios and everything was going fine, it was loading the chipset and everything but then after that it sed ERROR 5:Bios file is not of proper size. So i downloaded the bios from pc chips website and the flash utility and i unzipped them and everything and then i put them on the floppy does anybody know what this error means or what i might have done wrong?

You get the BIOS from your motherboard manufacturer's website.

(Btw. only flash the BIOS if you really need to, and remember to clear CMOS after.)

when i tried to upgrade my BIOS. it said in the read-me "WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT FLASH FROM A FLOPPY DISK!" so maybe thats what happened? i dunno.

I flashed my BIOS from a floppy disk, and I think that is the way you are meant to do it (maybe you could do it from a CD-R - but no point in wasting one for a file you vcan get onto a floppy.)
