What LCD to get

Im thinking about getting an LCD for my first build because i found out that its possible to fix dead pixels but now im not sure what to get i want either a 19" or 18"(if they make it) or whatever i can afford i want one for around $250 not including shipping

Do you plan on doing any gaming? If you do, you'll want to get an LCD with 8ms or lower response time.

Go with as big as you can get. You won't be sorry.

If you don't do a lot of gaming, you can get by with a higher response time. Low response time = high cost.

Unless you're un -sensitive to things like ghosting (like me), if a little blur here and there doesnt but you, youre fine with a higher response time.

Ok wait i need to know some terms what is the response time and what is ghosting

Response time is recorded in milliseconds, for example:

When you see a monitor being advertised and it says: "8 ms Response Time" that is the speed at which the monitor can get rid of ghosting.

Ghosting is motion blur, if you have a huge LCD TV it's very noticable and to some people it's very annoying.

I recommend the Samsung 710N monitor. I use it, works great. I play games, and everything is crystal clear.

I have a Philips 190B6. Its great, its big, clear and has no ghosting or dead pixels.
