Which processor is faster ?

Pentium III 1.0GHz with 512K L2 cache and 133MHz FSB

or

Celeron 1.3GHz with 256K L2 cache and 133MHz FSB

No, the P3 is faster. The Celerons are even worse than the P4s at utilizing their speed. The P3 is a much better architecture.

Comparing a Pentium 3 1.0 ghz to a 1.3ghz celeron (p4 artechture), the Pentium 3 wins by far. To beat out a 1ghz Pentium 3, you would need at least a 1.4ghz pentium 4.

Pentium 3's, like AMD processors, do alot more per mhz.
