Well, I think I've figured out pretty much everything I want for my new system, and I'm just asking for any last minute advice or changes. If I win a place in the Newegg casemod competition, I'll be buying and building in a few days. If not, I'm going to be waiting until around mid october to buy and build it. Anyway, here're the parts:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD

Logitech X-530 70 Watts 5.1 Speaker

Finally, for the video card it looks like I have a few options. I'm going to be getting a 7800 GT, and I'd prefer to buy from one of the better manufacturers like BFG Tech, eVGA, or Leadtek.

eVGA card:

Leadtek card:

BFG Tech card:

Total cost for this system: Around $1500
This system will serve a few purposes:
1. Playing ElderScrolls: Oblivion without any lag and with lots of graphical and sound quality
2. Rendering advanced 3DS MAX scenes and animations
3. Lasting for a few years (and perhaps lasting me even through college)
4. Being as quiet as possible

I'll probably do a little overclocking as well, but not very much until I'm more experienced.

I don't need Disk Drives or a Harddrive, as I've already got those. I could probably get a new 80 mm fan though.

To save money, get the non- SLI version of that motherboard. Also you might not need the sound card because the DFI board has very good onboard sound.

I assume you don't need a monitor then?

Nope, I've already got a very very nice LCD monitor.

I'm probably going to go for the SLI board anyway, because I'll most likely drop another 7800 GT card in it a couple years down the line when they're cheaper and when I'll probably need a performance boost as well.

I'm not to big a fan of Onboard sound either, as it's not as good as using a soundcard (even if the soundcard is a bargain one). The DFI board only supports 16 bits, whereas the SB Live supports 24 bit sound. I don't know if the DFI onboard sound supports EAX either...
