Mousepads! Hard vs Soft

Hey all I was just wondering what the concensus on this forum was about hard vs soft mouse pads?

I currently use a razor exactmat which is hard since it was given to me but I think if I had a choice between top of the line hard vs soft pads I would go for soft. Any thoughts?

I don't use a mouse pad. I find them very annoying. A hard desk surface is best. If I was going to use one I'd prefer a soft one though.

I don't usually use a mousepad, but my old mouse died so i got a free one from my friend, and the little bump things that keep the mouse from moving too fast wore off on my desk, so it got sticky

i just have a cheap pad that i stole from my computer class last year

i have a mouse pad with a gel palm rest, and it has a nice surface for the mouse. once u get use to it u cant live without it, especially the palm rest.

i HATE palm rests... i can't stand having my wrist higher than the rest of my hand

For you that dont use mouse pads, your have only used n00b mousepads, or are a n00b yourself.

I prefer hard, I use my Steelpad S&S which is the best mousepad EVER
