I'm looking for a good replacement for the default Windows search feature. Google Desktop is great, but I need something that will search for program and data files, not just basic documents. Any suggestions?

Copernic is a great tool, I would recommend that as well.

Oh and straightv6, thanks for my first laugh of the day, good stuff. :p

i judge a search tool by wether it can find secret folders such as dllcache most cant find it no matter what. ontrac's file finder is the best and finds more than what copernick does although i like copernick, file finder doesnt require an install and none of the extra clutter, just a small simple file but finds everything including dllcache

forgot to mention its included with powerdesk5 usually but is a seperate program by itself, you should beable to find it standalone somewhere.

WinFS beta was released yesterday to MSDN subscribers. I will post back if it is everything they promised or if it worse.
