I-tunes problems

I'm having a problem connecting to the I tunes network at my school. All of the dorms are allowed to share folders via the itunes network, but my computer is unable to do so. Whereas other people in my dorm have no problem connecting to this network, my computer says that "no one is connected to the network."

ALso, I can't download the latest version of I tunes. Everytime I attempt to download, the download stops and says that the download is incomplete. I've tried removing the program and reinstalling, but this has not helped. Any advice?

I don't really know if I have a fire wall But if I do, how do I find what is preventing I tunes from functioning and how do I stop it?

If you have a third-party firewall, there is usually a list of programs and their appropriate permissions for accessing the network. Since iTunes isn't a Windows utility, it might night allow it access by default.
