Newb ATi question

Yea Um i looked it up but i cant find it anywear


Does any ATi card HAve Shader Model 3.0 in it or HDR? or is that a nVidia thing?

The ATI x900 series has them, but you cant buy them. They cant get th ese cards to properly work.

If they ever get the X900 to work, but for now only Nvidia has SM 3.0 You don't need SM 3.0 for HDR though, SM 2.0 can do it. Just at a slower framerate. The problem is getting game developers to write paths for both SM3.0 AND SM 2.0, since SM 3.0 is highly preferred.
