Cannot write CDs faster than 4X

yea... I still use sum of those old 4x CDRWs
I have a sweet 52x32x52 CD-RW drive but I have only been able to get it to burn at around 16x - 25x ... I think it is cus my comp sux but I can still burn 700mb in 2.5 min

if you are using nero check the amount of ram that the burner is using.

I am using Nero 4 or 5.....I forgot. I am burning to CDRs and not re-writables.

The fastest I can go is 4X on the fly. I tried burning to my HDD first but it's just as slow.

Download nero 6 .. or try using any other burning app ..There r loads of cd burning apps available on the net ..

Try with some other app .. if it works fine .. then it just means that ur old software didn't recognise ur drive properly
