im trying to help set up my some of my school computers with my technology teacher. we need to know how to disable right clicks and stop from accessing things like my computer and control panel. people like to change things and mess them up for no reason. do you have to have a program to do this?

Are you running your school districts from a novell server?

sorry if this doesnt help but were just trying to make each computer locked up so students cant change settings.

that's a crude way of doing it.. it's ridiculous how many computer tries to lock up right click to prevent people from doing unintended things.. However, i can always find a way of getting pass the restriction..

The more "elegant" solution is to set the group permission if your running any 2000 based OS.. Set all student accounts into one group, and set group permission to either allow or disallow whatever you want..

However, if your computers are not networked, then you can just create an account with student and just set that account's permission..

Do you have a Domain and a windows based server? Or are they just all workgrouped?
