Ok, so I recently decided to upgrade my system with another chip of 512 ram. I figured I'd get GeiL brand since that's what I've got now. I went on GeiL's website and saw this:

http://store.geilusa.com/product.php?pid=71&xcSID=ac9d52506ee8999613055cd1cf551748

And then went on NewEgg to see if they had the same model for cheaper. I didn't see the same model, but I did see this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820144305

My first question is, will they both run on my system (ABit KV8-Pro mobo) in conjunction with the chip I already have in there? (taken straight from Everest):

Field Value
DIMM1: GeIL CL25-4-4DDR 400 512 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (2.5-4-4-8 @ 200 MHz) (2.0-3-3-7 @ 166 MHz)

Secondly, which is the better buy? The one on Newegg is not only much cheaper, but also has a heat spreader. Is the one on the GeiL site faster? It seems to have higher timings (if that's even a good thing, I don't much about ram beyond capacity and speed). Anyway, please let me know which one will be faster and work best with my current setup. I'm willing to pay for either one, I just want the best performance. Thanks.

As long as it is supported by your mobo, which it is, you are fine.

Go with the OEM 512MB Geil, it's cheap and could even OC a little. Remember OEM's are usually not refundable/replaceable though.
