I don't know what he has against ASUS or MSI, but he's never going to get 2 video cards, so a motherboard with 2 PCI-E slots is worthless for this build.

Because its the best damn board on the market right now and if hes going to argue w/ that then you can slap him and say build it yourself because your an idiot and i dont want to build for an idiot. Also if he is going agasint SLI then what would he do IF SLI became standard? Yea he would be ****ed over. ALso Just because it has 2 x16 slots dosent mean its bad and you can pencil mod it to make it SLI if you needed to. Just get the board and this guy wont even know.

You can run dual gpu's and have it not be SLI w/ the Ultra-D. You get the benefit of 2 cards, without the performance increase of SLI. Don't ask me what benefits that would be though...

For one, cheaper manafacturing process for DFI, and you can use the other slot as 1x or 4x.
