my gigabyte motherboard says the standard memory is ddr 400 (3200) and when i go to kingston it gives me a list of memory that will work and they are not 400mhz 3200, does this mean i can use 333mhz of dual 256mb or do they have to be 3200 and 400mhz. whats he best memory for the price, kingston, corsair or others

They dont have to be 400 to work. In fact they arent even 400 mHz in the first place. They are 200 mHz. Anyway, It will run at 333mHz. I suggest going on newegg.com and looking into OCZ or Corsair RAM. I would suggest getting bh5 gold edition.

The DDR###, the ###'s are exactly half of the RAM's speed, so for example...

DDR400 = 200mhz
DDR266 = 133mhz

Ez to understand eh?
