Im looking to buy a new motherboard and am looking for some advice. Im wondering if i should buy the Asus P4S800 that uses a intel socket 478, FSB 800mhz, max 3GB ram or a Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8U that uses a AMD cpu socket 754, up to 3gb ram amd 800mhz FSB. need some help

Both are sockets being fazed out. But then again, socket 775 and 939 will be in a year or so too. I would go for the amd.

Do you have a CPU already? You're talking about if you should get apples or oranges right now??
