Hi everybody...

Just want to know if there's anything physically wrong with this setup:

[Raidmax Scorpio 868 Blue]

[Asus Nvidia Nforce 4 Ultra (A8N-E)]
http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=0&model=455&modelmenu=1

[AMD Athlon64, 3500+, Venice]

[Sony DWQ28AB2 - DVD±RW (±R DL) Drive]

[Leadtek PX7800GTX TDH MyVIVO]
http://www.leadtek.com/3d_graphic/winfast_px7800gtx_tdhvivo_1.html

[Maxtor DM10 120GB, 7200RPM, 8MB Cache, SATA]

[Kingston PC3200 DDR400, 2x512 MB]

[Logitech UltraX Keyboard, DK]

[Antec SmartPower 2.0 450W PSU]

[2x 80mm fans for the case]

Do you think the PSU can take it?
And, have you got any suggestions for better parts, that doesn't cost extra... for example case modding.

I would go with a DFI motherboard for gamming and I would also not buy a maxtor HD I would buy a seagate or western digital.

That PSU will be able to handle it.
I would get a case with more Fan slots and also buy more fans since this is for gaming heat will be an issue, good cooling will also prolong the life of your gaming pc.

Example if a case has 2 fan slots u want 1 intake and 1 exhaust if it has 3 I suggest 2 intakes 1 exhuast. if 4 slots 2 and 2, if has an odd number i suggest more intakes then exhausts.

If he has the money I recoomend a enermax 535 watt ATX 2.0. or a pc power and cooling one.

But i think that 450 will be enough cause hes not running much else.

What Ste has said is right. The 7800GTX is also NOT a huge power hog.

Tree things I will point out again.

#1: Case is not soo good and has sharp parts. Buy band-aids at same time (No, I am not joking, experince)

#2: Asus are not a good choice for AMD platforms. DFI Lanparty line are around the same price, and better.

#3: Maxtor are unreliable. As said, seagate or western digital are better.

yeah, go with DFI and i would suggest a thermaltake case (shark or tsunami recommended)
one more thing, go with Mushkin memory, better than Kingston

I dont see why you guys are hatin on Maxtor. All the HDs i have are Maxtor and are going fine. the old 80 i had i put through hell and it was fine, and my dad had it before me. I have gone through 2 WD Hds 10gig for backup and they both went out w/in almost the same amount of time. Im using a MAXTOR 3gig (the first HD that came in my first PC) as a back up and its running strong w/ no bad sectors or nothing. Also the 2 40s my mom is using has been through alot. She dropped one on a conctrete parking lot hard and its still working fine and quiet. So i dont see a thing wron gw/ them. On your system, your ok cept i would suggest a bigger PSU for general pusposes and i would suggest some better ram cause Kingston sux. Oh and i havent had any problems w/ shard edges on my raidmax scorpio, so it should be fine.
