The 6600GT is the graphics card that I want, but I'm not sure if my Dell dimension 2400 (lowend PC) could take it. Do you think it would run smooth if i bought this card or would I have to upgrade other components first so it runs properly?

Well firstly we'll need to know the specifications of this computer of yours.

Secondly XFX isn't the best brand, you'd be better off with eVGA or Leadtek.

Lol, I don't know how find my specs, i've lost all my manuals. All i can tell you that it's the CPU is 2.8 GHz and my RAM is 768 MB (originally 256MB) Is there a way of finding your specs on your computer?

I'll try and give as much detail as possible and hopefully you can tell me if this g-card will be ok for my PC

CPU:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.8GHz
Code Name: Northwood
Core Speed: 2790.7 MHz
FSB: 132.9 MHz
Bus Speed: 531.6 MHz

Mainboard:

Manufacture: Dell Computer Corp.
Model: 0F5949

Memory:

Type: DDR-SDRAM
Size: 768 MB
Frequency: 166.1 MHz

Video Card:

Name: Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GE Graphics Controller
Chip Type: 82845G Graphics Controller
Approx Total Memory: 64.0MB

And that's about it lol. Now can anyone tell me if the 6600GT PCI-E would be ok for my PC?

I will almost guartnee that you dont have a PCI-E slot

Open up your computer and take a picture of the slots, and than we will know which cards will fit :)
