Help! I can't access my own folders and files

thats what i was going to say to do... but i dont think u have to be in safe mode do you???

I can't find permission except in safe mode, but that is logical as they wouldn't want just anybody to access your files.

This thread is so long. someone may have already suggested taking ownership of the folder. did you disable simple file sharing mode?

all those steps dont work, but good try, yea everything you guys said it denies it still, im having same problem, i worked hard in getting my old hd back, got it and this happened, ima probably put it back in old pc and make it non private and take pw off and put back into new one.

But ima try the safe mode now.
