NeroVision Express and MKV files?

For some reason, NeroVision express will not accept mkv files. Is there any way to get around this without converting the media.

Also, if not, I want to create a dvd video disc to play on tv, what program can burn it that will accept MKV files?

mkv is a matroska video file, NERO wont convert that to a DVD compatible mpeg

if you want to burn it onto a dvd and play it on a dvd player it must be in a compatible dvd format, no exceptions.

So, there are no software that can burn the mkv to dvd disc?

Can someone please recommend something? I don't want to have to convert 12gb's worth of mkv's to avi's, which will most likely double the output (24gb of converted file). Also, the windows medai format suck's, because I notice that the quality goes DOWN a whole lot. Help?
