Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion t580.uk PC. It's been working fine. But when I turned the computer on at the wall in the past few days, the computer didnt turn on, but the light at the back of the PSU was blinking. After about 3min, the computer would come on.

It only does it after I leave the computer off for many hours, like 5-6 hours.

I have the latest bios. I have cleaned inside the pc, and checked every connection.

The computer should turn on automatically when I turn on the mains socket.

Whats the problem?

Thanks

Bad PSU. either buy yourself a small PSU that will fit inside your case, or RMA it back to HP and have them get you a new PSU. and here's a tip: turn you computer on with the power button on the front of the case, not from 'the wall'.

Ok, i'll try another PSU. The PSU that comes with it is underpowered anyway.

So is using "turn on pc automatically" setting in the BIOS bad then? It's better to turn it on manually at the front of the computer?.

Thanks

Sky
