The DVD/CD-rw drive on my laptop sometimes will not read certain DVD movies. It's got to have something to do with the disc format because it may read disc 1 with no problem but then won't read disc 2, I can then go back to disc 1 and it works. Today I played one of my friend's DVDs perfectly then tried another right after that and it wouldn't read. Then I tried like 4 more all with the same result, but I could always go back to the first disc without any problem...any ideas why this happens?

You could try flashing your drive to update it. I once had a DVD drive that wouldnÂ’t read DVD+R or DVD-R. So I flashed it and now it works great with both formats. However it would be wrong of me not to first warn you that if the flashing is not carried out properly your drive may be rendered permanently unusable. If you do choose to flash the drive then all the information youÂ’d need should be available on the drive manufacturerÂ’s website.

Good luck.:)
