Can't install DirectX and SP2, im getting error messege, even with other programs :(

I can't seem to install both the DirectX9 and Windows SP2. ANd some other programs like a few games I get these messeges:


"error creating process <:C\DOCUME~1\Ashley\Local Settings\Tem\IXP000.TMP\dxwsetup.exe>. Reason: INDOWS\system32\advpack.dll "

And this one when trying to install programs:

"The Win16 Subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode, DOSX.EXE must be in your AUTOEXEC.NT and present in your PATH"

I had the same problem. I need specs. Try reformatting.

WinXP Pro
Athlon XP 1800 +
128 mb g card ATI Radeon Pro 9700/9500
512 mb ddr ram
