This is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyways. :)

Is it possible to install multiple OS's on one computer? I'm saying maybe Windows XP and Windows 98. Or possibly XP and Redhat.

Thanks in advance for any help that anyone is able to provide!

Thanks MicroBell! I have two more questions, though.

1. How do I partition my hard drive?

2. Do the operating systems have to be put out by the same company (ex WinXP and Win98) or can they be two seperate ones (ex WinXP and RedHat)?

Thanks again!

Since Microbell isn't here right now , i'll say yes . You can put any combination together except mac..Hereis a lliitle tidbit of reading you can do first.

let the os (*XP,2000) reside on an NTFS partiton - that way you get the performance and security that NTFS has for your o/s..

keep a fat32 partition to put your data on.
that way your data is available from everywhere...

a Redhat Linux installation can only be used on one of its own file systems. If you want XP and 98 I suggest using FAT32 so when you're using 98 you can still read all the data, otherwise if you have XP on its own use NTFS.
also if you want a Linux OS you can get Mandrake Linux and use it on FAT32
