Maxtor 200Gb Hard Drive Problem

I have just purchased a new maxtor 200GB, however after installation and formatting the computer only seems to show 127Gb any ideas what the problem might be?

reformat in ntfs

also make sure that you partition the drives right!

You running windows xp? If you are you need to atleast have service pack 1 and a 48bit compliant BIOS and driver.
