don't use some stupid recovery disc, the only thing I dlook for is the XP home disc to reformat and reinstall.
Slow startup. Sometimes I can't access the internet.

The only thing that I have are the set of 3 recovery discs.
I just got the dreaded msg that I was not connected to the internet after I had walked away from my computer for about 15 mins
. It has an option to retry the connection to the internet on the box. Why am I getting this? Why? I've got a good connection! When I click retry, it usually doesn't work. I have to X out of the box and go back to the desktop and click IE. Even then, it takes several tries. I can tell that the computer isn't even trying. The box pops up instantly and I know the computer didn't even try .
I know that I could go to Firefox but this IE thing just started 2 days ago so I know something has changed.
