i forgot HDDs, i'm thinking about getting 1 WD Raptor 74GB 10kRPM and a 250GB WD Caviar. but what would you use each HDD for? like which one to install windows on...

Instal windows on the Raptor, and use the 250 HD for file storage. Also, i think the Seagate Barracuda models are better

Yes, with SATA you have a primary and secondary connector on the mobo. Plug the Raptor into primary and the Seagate into the secondary. You then install XP on the Raptor.
