15,000 RPM HDs

I still want one. I was just looking at them and there not TOO much more than raptors. I want one for windows, except i bet there *****in loud.

Actually, they aren't "only good for servers." They'd deliver the same performance configured properly in a PC. Last time I checked the only 15k drives were SCSI though, which means super expensive drives and an expensive controller to top it off. I would have one for shizzle in my PC if I was rich.

But then again, a lot of sources say that they don't perform much better than two raptors in raid-0...

SCSI are mainly used for servers but they are faster then any other drive if used in PC's ues they expensive but thats because they fast.


btw how fast are the raptors in RPM

Im not sure the price of the controlers but if 2 SCSI drives are in Raid 0 Im sure they will outperform raptors cause SCSI are usally 15K RPM and raptors are 10K RPM as you said.

OR you could get the drives that are only 208, and spend about 500 for a *****in fast setup.
