Well I believe that the FX-57 is the top single core and the X2 4800+ is better than the Pentium Extreme Edition in cirtian apps and definitaly in gaming.

Well true, but your comparing the best processors around. You try video encoding or compiling, then you will get some experience under your belt

na ur 2700 will work fins just get 2 gigs or 1.5gb of it. then a 6800gt. and a 3.0ghz 64bit intel chip. everything will run smooth as a wistle.
