what are the best settings to make my torrent client work to its potential.
here are the setting that i can change and what they are at.

minium port- set at 10000
maximum port- set at 60000
randomize ports- is checked
kick/ban clients that send bad data- is checked
dont allow multiple connections from same ip- is checked
retrieve scrape data- is not checked

local ip- nothing in box
ip to bind to- nothing in box
minimum number of peers- set at 20
max peer connections- no limit
upnp- disabled

my computer is connected to a linksys router so i can config ports and other stuff. so any ideas to config my client would be great

Actually, the default settings work well for me. I am thinking of that the best settings may differ depending on the different computer configration. Is there anybody can expound?

the thing is i get a lot of problem connecting to tracker messages. i dont now if that is actaully slowing things down or what the deal is with that. i also have one that downloaded 98.8% and now has been hung for the past week. why would that happen

if tracker is having problems, most likely the tracker is expired
and since you got stuck at 98.8% for a week it means no one is uploading to you

forward the port in your router of what port you are using
that might help
