compare pentium 4 with celeron D 330

Wernt Celerons released for Socket 370 before P3's were released for Socket 370 and both sockets were slightly different and it wasnt until later they were unified?
 
i found this on wikipedia:
Socket 370 was originally used for the Intel Celeron, but later became the socket/platform for the Coppermine and Tualatin Pentium III processors, as well as the Via-Cyrix Cyrix III, later renamed the VIA C3.

Yeah, my friend has a socket 370 mobo, except a normal socket 370 processor wont fit.

Only celerons fit it...
