ECS K7S5A Ver3.1 USB IRQ Bug in bios

I owned one ECS K7S5A Ver3.1,Integrated CMI9738 sound,sis900 NIC,and I added one ESS2838 modem,No.9 savage4 8M AGP.For savage4 drivers for win2000 and winXP is not matured,so I decided to use win98se,But once I enabled USB function in BIOS feature setup, the installation will be stopped hatever install win98 or win2000.When I disable usb function then all devices can be installed well. And their function is OK.I noticed that usb IRQ on this board is 5 and 11,shared with multimedia, modem. But I can't change the value on system or bios, have anyone help me to solve it?By the way my bios is the latest version 08/11/2003 and I tried 03/27/2003,10/29/2002,previous K7S5A ver1.0 integrated ALC100 sound no this problem.

I have this board on a shop comp. i have XP and i had to download sp1 before it would work. I have no idea but you may want to try XP and spi. If you have not heard you are the only one but these boards are about the biggest piece of junk, work some time. I dont reccomend using ddr either with these. But if you have to patch XP to make it work im sure 98 will take a lot or just not be possible.
