Mozilla Thunderbird help plz

hey all i just installed mozilla thunderbird. i cannot send messages beacuse i don't have a server to connect to or something? how can i fix this.

Enter your ISP's outgoing server as outgoing server. ex:smtp.whatever.com

Isn't it set up the same way as outlook at least for setting up accounts?

Not exactly. It depends on where you want your outgoign mail to leave from. I use Thunderbird to get all my mail from 3 different places, But only one place to leave from. So i would suggest you find out what the smtp is for cox. This page should help in your answer GuitarFreak. It is the Cox tech support page you should be able to find out how to set up your Thunderbird stuff there.

i'll try it tomrrow when i'm on my other computer. i'm at my dads house right now on his pentium three 900MHz lol. mines not much better but at least its AMD with 1 GB OCZ ram with a 5700LE. ugh i can't wait to build a new computer
