Freezing

Hi my computer recently has been freezing unexpectantly.

Due to the half a dozen games I got intalled on it?

Not virus/spyware i'm sure. Scanned and checked. Thanks

Could it be due to the no. of games on my com?

1 gig ram
Radeom 9200,
P4 3.2C

I never heard of games freezing your computer before unless you are trying to play them all at once. I have had about 3 dozen installed on my machine at one point in time without any problems. So it has go to be something else.

it wouldnt be caused by the number of games installed.

So does anybody have any logical, expert opinion or advice on this situation?

Or a smiliar fate and what he/she did to it?

Well if your sure it isnt heat related then there is another problem. (Duh) Have you checked your crash reports to see what they are generating? What were you doing when the system crashed?

Have you defragged your drive lately? Regular disk cleanup and defrag will help optimize your computer's performance.

I agree a defrag will help but that alone shouldn't freeze the system.

another possibility is you have a crappy PSU, or a good one thats dieing, or your harddrive is dieing on you, Youll know your HD is going when it makes werid clicking sounds or hums alot, as a last resort you could reformat that solves alot of problems.

I know a PSU can cause a computer to freeze because my computer has been freezing like urs and i traced it back to my X-connect, Im Still waiting for my new PSU to arrive from newegg but im sure it will stop my crashes.
