Hey im new to c++ and this site but i was wondering if i could get soem help i have a few questions.

1. What should i use as a writer like note pad or what.

2. if there is a specific what is it.

3. what would be a good book on c++ tahnks guys.

Well I personally use "vi" variant as my editor. "gvim" to be exact. It's very fast when u know all the commands. As for a book, not sure. I only use reference C++ books. But, for a beginner, that is obviously not appropriate as there is no flow to it. But, might I suggest you learn C first?.. Save C++ for after that. I strongly recommend you learn C first.

Try the Programming Forum. This is the wrong place for this question.

i learned C++ first, C is just like Pre-C++ Coding language. although i have forgotten most of the C++ i knew, i had a good time making proggies.

wrong section.

Dev C++ is very good. Easy to use, lots of resources, and its free. Everything is included in one package, makes stuff easier.
