what type of fan?

hey ppl,

im just wonderin wat a good
fan/heatsink would suite an AMD athlon 2500
if i want to oc it.

The new one from gigabyte http://www.obengware.com/uji/gigabyteghpcu21-vg.htm would be awesome, but I don't think it's out on shelves yet (that I know of).

I believe that Thermalright and Thermaltake make some really good H/S's for AMD's

i second Micro in thermeltake. They make quality hs, however sometimes because of there greatness they can become loud

I have a Thermaltake volcano11+ Xaser. heatsink on my 2500XP and Iam overclocked to 2.2Ghz for now. Max temps with Seti@home and Folding@home,and CPU Burnin all 3 running for 8 hours was 43c with the fan set around 3/4 cause at full out the sucker sounds like a hairdryer but it will cool your CPU
