I installed Windows XP (Fresh Install) twice now on this computer, and still having the same problem. Everytime I shut the computer down, and then boot back up, it stalls during windows boot. However, when I hit the reset button, the computer will boot just fine, no problem. I installed SP2, and all security updates, still same problem. Any Ideas??

Yeah the first problem i see is your RAM. It is too low to effectively run XP. It should be at least 256. I would personally recommend 512 at XP does use a lot fo resources. That aside do you have any conflicts with devices? Are all you drivers up to date? BIOS up to date?

I didn't think about the Bios... I updated everything else.... Updated Bios, rebooted 3 times, no stalls!!

Thanks!

The 128 is a little low, but the only thing this computer will ever do is run 1 application, that uses about 5mb of the memory.

Windows XP creates a bootlog, it's name is NTBTLOG.TXT , you could take a look at that and see if anything jumps out. This isnÂ’t really meant to be human readable, so you may want to get some software to diagnose the problem. You can download an evaluation version of Reg Run 3 from www.greatis.com/regrun3.htm.
