I recently bought Morrowind ( A game) for my Pc and I'm having some big problems with it. My PC is a 700mhz Celeron with around 400 ram and Win XP Pro. It's got a built in Graphics chip, a Intel 82810E chip to be exact. It's not the best PC in the world, but it can be used pretty well for some games and I am able to run Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time with no slow down. Anyway, I installed it with no problems and proceeded to start the game and BAM!,

Render Creation Error:
unsupported desktop resolution. Change windows resolution to True Color (32)bit.

So I went to properties to change the colors and I noticed something very odd- My computer only goes up to 24bit High Color. I know that I can run Morrowind because I ran it about a year ago when my friend let me borrow his. But back then I was using Win 98. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Try and lower your resolution. Restart your PC and see if 32-bit is an option.

See if you can find updated drivers for the chip. May be that XP only added so much functionality to the chip so you need a 3rd party to fix the problem.
