I currently am using a motherboard which states in the manual that is supports 1x,2x,4x agp cards.
I was thinking about buying a GEFORCE FX5200 128MB gfx card and on the specs it says it (AGP Interface, 8X/ 4X AGP support)
does this mean that it is compatible with my motherboard and will there be any slight performance changes since my motherboard only supports up to 4x?

or.. should i just get a pci version of the gfx card?
any info will be greatly appreciated

Yeah it's compatable, and with a card that isnt great like yours, no peformance difference as well.

but i wouldnt get that card it suxors. save up and get a nice one like a 6600gt or a 6800gt wait and save.

depends what you're doing. There's no need to save at all if you're playing games that are a year or two old. Go with what you said, and yes, they are compatible.

Its compatible because your mobo is 4x and it says 8x/4x compatible so yea, common sence. But the Geforce FX cards all suck and i wouldnt recomend one to anybody.
