in need of video card/ram suggestions

i am running on a system with:
athlon 2000+ xp
512 ram
geforce ti 200 (175/400)
mobo that supports up to 4x agp

my goal is to be able to play wow(world of warcraft) on mid or at least decent settings without having long intervals of spiking and lag in the main town (lag is occuring on the lowest settings possible).

many people tell me that u need 1 gb of ram and you are good to go
would my gfx card be sufficent if I purchased a fresh high quality gig of ram?
would my need for a gfx card be > than my need for ram
or ram> gfx card?
and would a 4x/8x agp based card's performance be affected a significant amount due to my motherboard?

my budget: up to 100$ for a gfx card, 250$ if i absolutely need a new mobo and or new ram

ANY help would be appreciated.
and fyi I am making this post because I absolutely cannot stand these huge intervals of lag.

na alls u need is another stick of generic 512mb. i dont know what speed but u should know. then get a 6800gt and dont get anything new yet. wait till later to get a new mobo and chip. ull be set for a while with a 6800gt and 1 gig of ram regardless the procesor.

btw i cant afford a 6800t

Timmeer, he doesn't need a 6800GT, if you read his post, you would have seen that he can only spend at most for a vid card $100. A 6800GT is more than that. I'm sick of people telling everyone to get a 6800GT.

I couldn't agree more. I mean, video cards are anything but affordable, and suggesting everyong get a high-end video card around 200 dollars is ridiculous. I would go to www.newegg.com and buy a stick of whoever's 512 MB ram at whatever speed you need. The video card... hmm... might I recommend this?
