Thanks for all the responses! :D

I convinced my brother (my nephew's dad) to go with an upgraded mobo + RAM + Card + HD for $450 CAD (approx $340 US). Here's what I can get for this price...

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 Processor 2.26GHz FSB533

Memory: 512MB DDR333 PC2700 Memory (Major Brand)

Mobo: Asus P4S8X-MX SIS661GX,Video,3PCI,2DDR,LAN,Audio,AGP8X

HD: Western Digital 160GB 7200RPM 8MB Cache Serial ATA

Video: Power Color ATI Radeon 9550 256MB DDR, DVI, TV-Out, AGP 8X

What do you think???

If you search for AGP 4x vs AGP 8x, you find my benchmark thread comparing AGP 4x and 8x with a 6600GT.

End result is, no difference.

Makes a HELL of a difference with my 9200 card. Games run much smoother on 8X. Maybe newer cards don't have that problem, mines only 64MB.

Throw a radeon 9550 in there and 1gb of pc 133 ram should have no problems with games (just with the graphics on low).
