Im using the ATI Radeon 9000 AGP card

Alright the problem is that whenever I play certian games like Dark age of Camelot or Morrowind the game freezes after a few minutes of play. I emailed DAOC customer support with my problem and they told me they found old graphics drivers on my dxdiag info. I checked and it does say I have Nvidia Vanta and Rage pro turbo drivers. My question is. How do i remove them? They arent located on the add/remove program list.

They also told me the freezing may be caused by an overheating issue. But I can play Call of Duty no problem and COD looks like it would use more system resources than Dark age of camelot. I have installed the lastest Radeon drivers and the VIA 4in1 motherboard drivers but the problem remains. I really hope you guys can help me.

Also dxdiag says i have 63MB display memory. Shouldnt it say 64? Where did that 1MB go? And would i be able to play games that require 64MB video ram?

You can aquire the latest drivers from ATI's website.
As for the freezing.....replace the drivers for the video card and see if this improves the performance at all. I had a similar problem with an ATI card as well.
Also, to help performance....do you have mis-matching brands of memory installed in your PC? If you do, remove one stick of memory and then test out the performance.

I already have the latest drivers for the video card. But the dxdiag info says i have old Vanta and Rage remnants and im wondering how to remove them.
 
Disable your anti-virus solution and try reinstalling the newest drivers.

Here are some things you can try. Do a search for 'Detonator Destroyer', a utility program which will remove all traces of detonator drivers from ME.
If that doesn't work, try the following:
1. remove your current ATI drivers.
2. reinstall your NVIDIA card and drivers and then retry with 'Destroyer'. If that still doesn't work then:
3. completely remove your NVIDIA drivers by installing PCI generic drivers
4. turn off computer and install ATI card
5. Reinstall your ATI drivers.

You also mention that you have the latest VIA 4 in 1. Make sure that it is not version 4.50 since they have compatibility problems with ATI. Get the new VIA 4.51 version which solved that problem.

If possible, you should try and get XP OS since ME is really the worst crap that MS put out on the market and that is saying a lot.
