why am i scoring so low in 3dmark 01se?

ok i got a 6600gt! gigabyte motherboard nvidia nforce 2 chipset my athlon 2500 is overclocked to 2.3ghz and i got 512mb memory 333mhz, and im not even hitting 15000 in 3dmark 01se i hit 7600 in 3dmark 03. why is my 01 score so low?

1.) you have ddr333 ram, try getting ddr400 IF your mobo supports it
2.) 3dmark01 mostly tests your CPU and works better with ATi, that's why most ppl dont use it to bench performance

How can you only get 6000 in 01,I'm getting 7400 with a 9550se and a sempron

yea my motherboard supports pc3200 and also dual channel i just havnt had the money right now im going to sell my old motherboard and my old memory and get a gig of dual channel pc3200 timings 23225 then i should fly.

oh yea D-J CHRIS u might want to check your chipset man because 6000 is not right for your video card in 3dmark01 i was only scoring 12000 when i had my via chipset motherboard! well just mainly because most via chips dont like nvidia go for a nvidia chipset. as soon as i went from via to nvidia chipset i scored over 3000 more and better quality in games and fps also

diablo pretty much got it....it's really dependant on your overall system, CPU, memory, memory bandwidth really play a role in it more so than the GPU.....
