mcafee antivirus

my mcafee anti-virus keeps disabling. something did come up when i last used spybot. i deleted two things which i thought was spyware but it reality i disabled mcafee antivirus and firewall. i have the firewall running ok, but why does virusscan keep disabling?

This happened to me also. try updating on windows update.
Mine told me that i needed to reinstall activeX but i wouldnt try that.
