which mobo

In the process of choosing parts to build a friend a rig. Looking for middle of the road motherboard for a AMD chip. I was showing him some and the three we thought were in his price range and with a good name were the ABIT NF7,ASUS A7V8X-X or the MSI KT4VL. Is anyone using any of these. I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance......

asus makes a great motherboard, installed two A7M mobos a few years ago and both computers are still running great, never had a hardware problem.

I have a 2 year old Asus P4B (time for an upgrade) The only time an Asus has gone is when I was in a hurry putting it into the new case (bye bye ugly Chieftec Plastic series TL-02W, Hello Codegen case) and forgot to install the spacers. (oops)
