hi everyone.. i have a problem with a friend's computer.. At first, the computer wouldn't budge when the power button is pressed, thus i reasoned that it's a power supply problem, so i went out and got a new power supply.. It booted and for the first time it went up all the way to windows.. and then i try to put the HD back into it's place then i plugged in the CD drive.. Booted the second time, however, this time the monitor remains blank.. i tried to change a new vid card, and it didn't work.. There also aren't the usual beep at the beginning of the boot sequence.. I reasoned that it could be the motherboard problem, anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong? thanks alot :D

if there's something in the pci slots... take it out... worked with me.. it decided to try to detect the monitor form an pci slot instead of agp..

w00t!! 300 posts :D

mmm.. well, i was been stupid and put the power voltage to 230 instead of 115.. burnt the HD (at least i think so), the HD is pretty old anyways :D
