Hello! I wish to sync two folders in Windows XP Pro. Would anyone know how to go about doing this locally? Basically I have "My Documents" on the C: drive and a "My Documents" on the D: drive (for backup).

Rather than simply copy and paste the My Documents folder and overwrite the entire thing each time(really large folder) is there a simple XP hack or tool that I could say sync these two folders so that my primary will simply add only the files that have been added to my backup folder? I know I could use the backup archive bit thingy..but thought someone may have a quick tweak..thanks!-Vince.

total commander does it. but it isn't automatic. you have to open it to do it. make sure you don't rename anything either as you will get extra files on each hard drive.
