my sound card does not have midi ports, or a game port. i want to connect my electronic drum kit to my computer.
i was thinking that i could get another, cheap s/c, and use the game port on it. what potential problems could i run into doing this? will there be any conflicts, etc? also, how much power does a s/c use, as i think i am near topping out my psu.
other options:
mini DIN 8pin -> D-SUB 25pin (is this just a regular paralell port?)
mini DIN 8pin -> D-SUB 9pin (is this the port with the ||o|o|| logo, or something that looks like that?)
would any of these option work well?
