Sorry guys im whoring these forums... one question though.

which one of these is going to give me better performance

awhh crap accidently pressed enter..

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3200BPBOX - Retail

or

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Newcastle 800MHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 754 Processor - Retail

As far as i could tell on the newcastle u got a lower FSB but sits at 2.2ghz wheras the venice is going to give me 1g FSB but 2.0ghz. Which will perform better?

Venice, reasons very obvious. Not only is it a load newer, it has higher OC'ing capabilities and it draws much less power. Even a Winchester core would be a better choice.

Yeah, with the 939 pins as opposed to the 754 pins, it seems that should solve it for you right there. And the Venice has a higher FSB.

even if it was 3400 Newcastle vs. 3000+ Venice, i would put my vote on the venice, still...

3400+ would win in most benchmarks, but I would still pick the venice, for overclocking and power
