okay so I really want to buy the MSI 6800 ultra
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127144
which comes to 366 after rebate. However, I love eVGA and have never gone with another brand. Their version of the same card goes for 415 after rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130196.
I would really like to avoid paying another 50 dollars if i could but i have never had an MSI and i dont know if they perform flawlessly like my eVGA's always did.
Their technical specifications are identical but I can't help feeling that if I buy the MSI it wont be as good as the eVGA. What are all of your thoughts on this?

It would be fine. The MSI one has a big cooler on it as well, and they are a well know manufacturer. If you want to save a bit of money, then why not get a 6800 gt and do a little overclock in rivatuner.

Another thread that I agree with Trifid.

MSI cards are fine and reliable. Also the performance difference between the GT and the Ultra dont justify the price difference.

Perhaps, you could look at www.anandtech.com or www.tomshardware.com for some benchmarks to compare the 2 cards.
