Plextor Convertx how i make it work?

I installed it i followed the quickstart manual instructions extremely carefully. I connected the convertx to my VCR by composite cable. I wait a whole minute and still it doesnt detect it!!! Here is a screenshot of what i get:



This is no good!!! Why doesnt it have a VCR icon like it should? Why isn't it detecting my VCR? I want to capture stuff!!

I cant believe ive found a problem which no one can solve! Surely someone knows how i can make ConvertX work!!!

I thought there were guys who knew a lot about computers but you don't know this?
